Employment History
Registered articles of clerkship in 1999 with University of Transkei Law Clinic and in 2001; Ceded articles to Haarhoff, Fourie and Partners in Mpumalanga. Passed the board examination and completed my articles.
In July 2004, worked for the Office of the Public Protector: North West as an Investigator. In January 2006, joined Department of Public Works Noth West in January 2006 as Assistant Director: Legal Services and in 2007 was appointed Deputy Director: Legal Services and Labour Relations
In 2011, joined North West Department of Education and in 2012, was appointed Director: Legal Services.
In May 2013, was admitted as advocate and in 2018 served pupilage and passed National Bar Examination and took membership with North West Bar Association.
Work Experience
Gained experience in civil litigation, procurement law, administrative law, medical negligence and unlawful arrest. Also gained some experience in drafting various legal documents such as contracts, memorandums, legal opinions, pleadings, heads of argument, affidavits and service legal agreements.
Appeared and argued in opposed and unopposed cases in North West High Court in Mahikeng, Free State High Court in Bloemfontein, Eastern Cape High Court in East London and Labour Court in Braamfontein, Johannesburg.
Acquired valuable and extensive experience in Labour matters, from presiding in disciplinary hearings, conducting investigations, being pro-forma prosecutor on behalf of the employer and being defense counsel representing senior officials including Heads of
Departments, Deputy Director Generals, Chief Directors and Directors.
Appeared in various bargaining councils like CCMA, GPSSBC, PHSDSBC, TOKISO also a representative of a witness in the Judicial Commission of Inquiry into Allegations of State Capture, Corruption and Fraud in the Public Sector including Organs of State.
